For this new year, the Mustang looks like a more chiseled version of the previous generation. It still retains its heritage design with a familiar front end and tri-bar headlights and looks like it means business with a shortened rear overhang, sleek roofline, and wide stance.
Remotely make neighbors mad with a now available remote rev which lets you Rev the engine from the key fob.
While on the topic of engines, horsepower, torque, and fuel economy numbers we don’t know yet because Ford hasn’t told us.
Styling characteristics will help you differentiate between Mustang models. The GT has a redesigned splitter, larger grille, and hood vents for a more athletic appearance, and of course the GT badge. And yes you can get both the EcoBoost and GT convertible variants. Each model has an optional performance pack that adds track-focused features like a Torsen limited-slip differential, wider rear tires, larger Brembo brakes, and a front tower brace.
Both models will be offered with a 10-speed automatic, but for those die-hard muscle car enthusiasts, the good news is there’s an available 6-speed transmission with standard rev-matching. The bad news is it’s only available for the GT. Mustangs will have 6 drive modes available: normal, sport, slippery, drag, track, and a custom setting. You’ll notice the handbrake looks a bit smaller, that’s because Ford now introduces a segment-first electronic drift brake which comes standard on the performance pack. Ford says it’s engineered to give pro drivers a competition-ready system, and novice drivers a way to learn and improve their drift skills, and I just wanna try it out for myself
Inside the cabin, you’ll notice the new digital cockpit inspired by fighter jets, with two large screens for the gauge cluster and infotainment, and the customizable screens allow the driver to tweak the displays to their preference. Throughout the cabin, materials generally feel nice and well put together. There’s storage space for smaller items, and for larger items, there’s decent cargo room. The seats are comfortable and look great, and I’m digging the flat bottom steering wheel.
Oh, and there are still back seats You’ll be happy to know that the Mustang comes with Ford's Co-Pilot360 driver assistance tech which includes features like adaptive cruise control with stop and go, reverse brake assist, lane centering assist, and evasive steer assist.
Pricing isn’t available yet, but when the Mustang goes on sale summer of 2023 be sure to go on KBB.com and get a fair purchase price so your car buying experience won’t get trampled. Check out the link in the description. Homer Skelton Ford
Ford is looking to make a statement with the 7th generation mustang. There’s a strong heritage behind it, and a cult following aside it. But with the decline in gas-powered engines and the evolution of sporty EVs, this 7th generation Ford Mustang with its naturally aspired V8 may possibly be the last of its kind. So if you’re looking to go out with a bang, you may want to check out the ‘Stang.
